Todd Eckert, Ford’s truck product marketing and brand manager, emphasizes that in a market where the average price of a new car or truck is around $50,000, the Maverick remains the most affordable pickup truck available. The vehicle strikes a balance between affordability and cutting-edge features, making it a compelling option for buyers.
Under CEO Jim Farley’s leadership, Ford has been focusing on strengthening its truck business. While the Maverick is currently sold mainly in North America and parts of South America, there is potential for expansion into other markets such as Europe. Production of the trucks takes place at Ford’s Hermosillo assembly plant in Mexico.
